Meer Anwar, with 20 years of experience from ICT and Business domains, currently serving as Director General Technology BISP – Government of Pakistan. He is overseeing technology operations whilst devising and establishing IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies for social safety projects under BISP mandate. He is also leading technical team for the implementation of “Micro Payment Gateway (MPG) – RAAST for the beneficiaries of Ehsaas Program under PAASD. He has also designed and developed architecture for Ehsaas Cognitive API Architecture for developing a collaborative digital platform for discrete data exchange among the ancillary organization under PAASD in particular, followed by all govt. agencies in general. Development of technological platform for “BISP Ehsaas One Window” initiative, a collaborative platform for government organizations to share data is one of his key initiatives while being at BISP. Also leading misc. initiatives: ISO 27001 Certification, ERP Implementation, Data Governance & Data Security policy and procedures implementation, Oracle X-8 transition, Digital Hubs initiatives, etc.
