Hira Zainab is Secretary General at P@SHA, where she is leading strategic initiatives to empower and unleash the potential of the IT and ITeS industry in Pakistan. She closely works with different government departments on the behalf of IT and ITeS industry. She has launched different industry reports including P@SHA Salary Survey Report 2021 featuring university rankings to bridge the industry-academia gap. She has been leading the policy campaigns for IT industry, and also did impact analysis of removal tax exemption which resulted in the announcement of a historic benefit package for the IT and ITeS industry. She also came up with the benchmarking toolkit for Diversity and Inclusion to promote gender balance in the industry. Before joining P@SHA, she worked as Director Outreach and Engagement at Knowledge Platform, Pakistan’s leading Ed-tech startup that raised 2 million USD last year as part of Series A funding.
